Progress Installations has been fitting air conditioners across Cape Town since 1988. Our engineers size the unit to the room, install it cleanly and hand it over tested and working, whether it is a single bedroom split or a ducted system for a whole home.
Systems we install
Wall-mounted split systems
The most common choice for bedrooms, lounges and offices. One indoor unit paired with an outdoor condenser, quiet in operation and quick to install in a single day.
Multi-split systems
Two to five indoor units running off one outdoor condenser. Ideal for homes where roof or wall space outside is limited but several rooms need cooling.
Ducted systems
Concealed in the ceiling with discreet vents in each room. Best suited to new builds and full renovations where the ceiling void is accessible.
Cassette and under-ceiling units
Used in shops, boardrooms and open-plan offices where air needs to be distributed evenly across a wide floor area.
We install and service the brands commonly available in South Africa, including Samsung, LG, Daikin, Midea, Gree and Alliance. Supply the unit yourself or let us quote on it — either way the installation is handled by our own qualified team.
How the installation works

Free site visit and heat-load assessment so the unit is sized correctly for the room.

Written quote covering the unit, brackets, piping, electrical connection and drainage.

Installation by qualified engineers, including core drilling through brick or concrete where needed.
- 4
Commissioning, gas pressure test and a walkthrough of the controls before we leave.
Because we also do our own core drilling and fireplace work, piping through thick walls and awkward ceilings is handled in-house without waiting on a second contractor.
